The Analysis for Propriety of the Design of Wet System of the 20 story Apartment Building

Abstract
The numerical calculation was carried out to certify using £¿OmniCADD¨Þ HCS Hydraulic Calculation Software£¿ if flow velocities in pipes were satisfied to fire codes for wet system of the 20 story apartment building. The demand pressure and flow for design of the wet system were 9.1 bar and 1483.1 lpm. The maximum discharge pressure and flow of sprinklers were 1.2 bar and 89.6 lpm. The maximum flow velocities in main pipe, branch line and other pipe of system were 1.3 m/s, 3.2 m/s and 4.5 m/s. Propriety of the pipe design could be clearly certified by having been satisfied to fire codes related to flow velocities for the pipe network of wet system.
